“Enlightened” is painted to depict the incredible strength of this fearless and empowered woman of color, standing among an overgrown autumn field, with her chin held high. She is backlit, with the sun bleaching out her profile. Her skin is reflecting the colors surrounding her.
Painted with a variety of texture, from a thin wash to select glazing and impasto.
